The Department of Community Health Sciences in the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Scholar in Food Marketing Data Science. This Postdoctoral Scholar will be supervised by Drs. Dana Olstad and Joon Lee. This Postdoctoral Scholar will lead a food marketing project that aims to develop an artificial intelligence (AI) system capable of monitoring unhealthy food marketing on digital media.

The ideal candidate must have a PhD completed in the last 3 years in data science, computer science, statistics, biomedical/electrical/computer/software engineering, or a relevant field. In addition, the ideal candidate should be well versed and experienced in most of the following:
Expertise in the areas listed above is best demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications and/or contributions to open-source projects available on GitHub. The ideal candidate should also have excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Python and/or R is required.
